Rawhide Lamps Shades With Rustic Lamps Enhances Southwest Design

Help fixing floor lamp?
I have a nice floor lamp from Pier 1...it is made of wrought iron. The base comes apart into 2 pieces - screws apart. Somehow during a move it got broken so that now I can screw the 2 pieces together but they are not held together firmly. In other words, the top piece is on but loose, and tilts a little to the side.
Does anyone have any suggestions for how I could fix this? I am not opposed to permanently attaching the 2 pieces, I don't care if I can't get them apart.
try wraping some teflon tape around the threads and then screwing it together. You can also try an epoxy made for metal parts
